Transgenerational Trauma
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, bitter, or just unsatisfied with where life is right now, I invite you to pause and reflect.
We’re all shaped by the choices we've made. And while life often hands us pain we never asked for, we still hold the power to choose how we respond, and what legacy we pass on.
Transgenerational trauma is real.
Sometimes we carry wounds that weren’t ours to begin with and without even realizing it, we pass them down. But we can choose differently. Our children deserve better than to inherit pain they didn’t create.
Being closed off to your children's voices, their needs, or their truths is part of the problem.
When we dismiss or ignore what our kids are trying to tell us, we repeat the very cycles we wish we could break. Listening (with openness, humility, and love) is one of the most powerful steps toward healing.
You have the strength to change the story.
Prioritizing mental health, choosing to grow, and facing uncomfortable truths isn’t easy...but it sure is brave. And it’s how generational change begins.
We only get one life. Let’s not let pain or pride hold us hostage. Let’s choose healing, accountability, and connection for ourselves, and for those who come after us.
You are not alone. You are not broken. And it’s never too late to do better for you and for them.
