A New Journey Begins
These past few days I have been trying to figure out everything that I need to apply for full licensure. You may ask what those 3 letter means. Licensed Professional Counselor also known in the mental health world as LPC. Well, we are the mental health professionals in charge of providing therapeutic services to individuals and/or groups. I remember hoping I would one day be able to help others and provide these types of services back in 2015 while watching a movie. I believe it was Tyler Perry's Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor. Earning a masters was an impossible task in my books back then. I only had a bachelor's in communication and had done nothing with it. For me, it appeared I had reached a very low point in my life since I lost my father right after graduating with that degree.
